They examine blood, tissue, and fluid samples by conducting laboratory tests to help confirm or reveal a diagnosis of your pet’s condition. With a timely, accurate diagnosis, an appropriate treatment plan can get underway as soon as possible.

NorthStar VETS has a state-of-the-art pathology lab staffed by board-certified veterinary clinical pathologists. This means we can provide onsite processing of cytological (cell) samples and blood tests for a rapid diagnosis with same-day reporting on weekdays. As a testament to our pathology lab’s accuracy and efficiency, area veterinary clinics also use our service for emergency/STAT samples.
