Integrative Medicine

New clients: Register your pet with NorthStar VETS online

At NorthStar VETS, Integrative Medicine services are offered by a specially-trained team. Blending all of the best elements of Eastern and Western medicine into daily practice, a comprehensive program will be tailored to your pet's individual needs. Eastern and Western medicine are not conflicting or contradictory, but can merge for the best possible outcome for patients. The appropriate pharmaceuticals and herbal formulations can be combined for long-term well-being. In fact, having an open mind to a multi-modal approach can ensure the most success. This type of medicine is practiced via holistic approach in an all-encompassing manner, which treats the underlying cause of the maladies your pet may be experiencing and ensures the best possible outcomes.

With a whole-pet approach to therapy, patients are evaluated on the basis of their environment, disease, condition or pain score, and lifestyle, as well as results from diagnostic modalities such as blood tests, ultrasound and radiographs (X-rays), and the Integrative Medicine service works with the other services to ensure your pet's condition is addressed from all angles.
