Pet Loss and Bereavement Support

NorthStar VETS complimentary bereavement support is a great resource for those mourning the terminal illness or loss of their family pet. Connecting with others who are experiencing the same feelings of sadness has a profound impact on healing. Our group counseling sessions offer much needed comfort to pet parents dealing with anticipatory grief (pets suffering from grave medical issues) as well as those who have lost their cherished family member (including exotic pets).

Meetings are held twice a month in our Robbinsville, NJ location and offer a safe and accepting environment that focuses on letting go, saying good-bye, and rituals of remembrance.

If you or someone you know is grieving the loss of their beloved animal companion, register for one of our free, confidential, and non-judgmental group sessions by emailing: Ann Rooney /
